Juvederm™

Juvederm™ is a dermal filler comprised of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) in a natural gel.  HA naturally occurs in the body and it works by drawing fluid to the area to fill the wrinkle.  Juvederm is typically used around the lips to fill in unwanted lines or to create more fullness.  It can also be used in most areas of the face to treat deep wrinkles.  The results of Juvederm are soft and natural, just how your face and lips should look and feel.

Q:  How long does it take to receive Juvederm?

A:  After a consultation with one of our board certified physicians, the injections take less than 45 minutes.

Q:  How long does Juvederm last?

A:  From 6 months to a year.

Q:  What happens after the product wears off?

A:  Patients typically return to the appearance prior to having the injections.

Q:  Will I need to take time off work?

A:  No, however patients may experience temporary swelling with moderate bruising.  Make-up can be applied after the injections.

Q:  Does receiving Juvederm hurt?

A:  Juvederm is pre-combined with lidocaine, a local anesthetic.  After the initial pin prick, the area numbs to aid in the patient’s comfort.  Patients still may experience some mild discomfort.
