Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery) Testimonial

I work in the very competitive and image conscious advertising industry. And I was feeling that my eyes were looking very tired and heavy and making me look older than I actually am. So I went to see Dr. Donat to talk about what could be done to make me look less tired and to brighten up the appearance of my eyes from the front and the side. He suggested an upper eyelid blepharoplasty to reduce the excess skin and make my eyes have a more open and awake appearance. I was excited about Dr. Donat’s plan for me and I went ahead and scheduled my appointment.

My procedure lasted about an hour and involved only local anesthesia. I love my results. My eyes have a young, bright appearance without seeming unnatural. It is a great pleasure to offer a testimonial of my surgery experience with Dr. Donat. For me, the whole experience was positive, before, during, and after the surgery.

It all started when I lived out of state a few years ago. I began my research about rhinoplasty while I was still in college. My experience having consultations with other doctors had not been satisfactory, and in fact, it jolted my confidence in having the surgery at all! I felt like I might end up with a ‘one size fits all nose’, or a nose that didn't fit my face. I was so unsure that I would get the exact results that I wanted, I decided to give up on the whole process for a while.

Depressed that I still had my original nose woes, I always kept my eyes and ears open for someone that had that ‘special something’ that I was waiting for. Then I met Dr. Donat. I knew from the start that Dr. Donat was extremely well versed in nose surgery. I knew that he was a very popular ENT doctor at his other offices, in addition to doing cosmetic surgeries. So, this also meant to me that he is valued and respected by the medical community, which gave me great peace of mind. Anyway, during the consultation, I actually enjoyed myself! His relaxed and laid back style along with a professional, specialized approach really put me at ease. He put pictures of me onto a flat screen TV and we began to talk about exactly what I wanted. He was morphing the image of my nose on the screen so I could compare a potential ‘new look’ to the old. Right away I saw the difference between him and the quality of his consultation compared to the other doctors. The wealth of information that was provided was exceptional! He was actually teaching me how we could change certain elements of my nose, and how that might affect the rest of my face! During portions of the consultation, he actually helped me articulate what I was trying to explain about the results that I desired. His patient coordinator, Tina, acted as sort of an advocate for me during the consultation. She asked him questions on my behalf; some of which I had not thought to ask yet! She was very supportive and understanding of my desires, and was genuinely interested in my consultation.

Before, during, and after the consult, Dr. Donat was very confident, extremely detail-oriented, and eager to work with me and all of my seemingly endless questions. I could tell that he thoroughly understood me and why I wanted the surgery. I could tell that he is passionate about his work, and that he is very dedicated to it. It was clear that what he does is truly something that he takes pride in, and knows inside and out. I left feeling really good, thoroughly educated, and very excited that I had finally found the right doctor for my nose!

After the surgery, I felt really good, and just tried to ignore the swelling, as Dr. Donat had warned me numerous times not to worry about it, (I am the type that needs to be warned numerous times!). When it was time to see my nose for the first time, he first explained in complete detail what I was going to be looking at, and how it would change as swelling went down, etc. I was so happy to see my new nose, I actually jumped up and hugged him! It looked great! And- it still looked like me!

I chose Dr. Donat on the basis of his ability to express his confidence and expertise in nasal surgery, and his exceptional ability to provide individualized and refined results (His credentials didn't hurt, either!). I would recommend him to anyone who wants a perceptive, genuine, and deeply knowledgeable doctor that will listen closely to your wishes. And furthermore, to anyone who wants a custom result that is finely crafted specifically for them, not a one-size-fits-all!

Mole Removal Testimonial

I had six moles on my face that I was unhappy with and wanted to get them removed. I had a consultation with Dr. Donat in which he described the whole procedure of taking my moles out. I was very concerned about having surgery on my face and being left with scars, but Dr. Donat convinced me that I would not be able to tell that I had any kind of surgery done on my face.

I went through with the procedure a couple weeks later. Dr. Donat knew that I was very nervous and scared about the surgery so he told me exactly what he was going to do during the surgery, which helped me calm down. During the whole procedure he kept informing me on what he was doing, which made me feel better. I didn't feel a thing during the procedure.

After a week of stitches I had them removed and my face healed very nicely. Now, I can't even tell that I had any surgery done on my face, and I am much happier about the way my face looks. Dr. Donat did a remarkable job on my face and I couldn't have asked for better!

Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery Testimonial)

I have suffered for years from horrible sinus pain, which would occur daily on the right side of my face and ear. At times the pain and pressure would be so unbearable that I would lose several nights of sleep. My cheek would swell up and make it hard for me to talk and eat. I lived on ibuprofen! I’ve seen a few doctors regarding my pain and concerns, but had not been successful in finding a doctor who saw anything wrong. I grew more discouraged as the years went on and my symptoms worsened. Finally, I was referred to Dr. Donat. He saw what my problem was right away, and through careful diagnosis he concluded that surgery would correct the problem. Dr Donat thoroughly explained what the procedure would be, where the incisions would be made and what to expect during the different stages of my recovery. During our many discussions he never made me feel pressured into having surgery; in fact I approached him about having rhinoplasty done as well.

A couple of weeks prior to my surgery we sat down and worked together with a digital imaging program to obtain a look I was happy with. Dr. Donat was very helpful in directing me towards a realistic look that fits my facial structure. During this appointment he went over the procedure once more and answered any questions my husband or I had at that time. We left his office feeling confident and ready for the big day.

It’s been 6 weeks since my surgery and I am very pleased with the results. My new nose looks great! I still look like the same person, just more elegant. It’s nice to look at myself in pictures and see me, not just a nose. It’s hard to believe the difference in the way I feel. The pain I had in my face is pretty much gone; I have not had any pain in my ear, and no more headaches. I can truly say that I have not had one ibuprofen since; this is a huge relief to me! Dr Donat is a miracle worker who definitely knows what he’s doing. His surgical skills are second to none, and I have complete trust in him and his staff.  I have been recommending him since the day I became a patient of his and will continue to do so.

Mini-Facelift & Liposuction Surgery

Dear Dr. Donat,

It has been three weeks since my mini-facelift and liposuction surgery, and I wanted to let you know how happy I am with the results.  When I had my jaw reduction surgery 25 years ago, I wasn’t  bothered by the fact that the excess skin around my jaw wasn’t tightened up; probably because it was in a more youthful state.  But as I have aged, the jowling and double chin that developed as my skin became more saggy started to really affect how I felt about my appearance.  One thing in particular was that I had always enjoyed wearing turtleneck sweaters; but with my saggy neck I felt it no longer looked attractive.

Before I met with you I had consulted with another doctor about my options, and she didn’t spend much time explaining what she would do or what to expect.  Plus, she suggested a full face lift, which I personally didn’t feel I needed.  When I met with you, I was impressed with the fact that you devoted an entire hour to our discussion, and also really appreciated the way you changed my photos to show me what could potentially be accomplished.  When you agreed that I didn’t need a full face lift, I felt that you really had my best interests at heart. You thoroughly answered any questions I had; in fact, I felt as though I had been given a mini anatomy lesson!  I left my appointment confident that I had chosen the right surgeon to do my surgery.  When I had the opportunity to talk to one of your past patients, Barbara, she reinforced my decision with her enthusiasm for her results.

My experience during and after the surgery was wonderful!  The fact that you made a point to call me in the days immediately after my surgery even though you were out of town was impressive.  Also, I just wanted to let you know that the care I received at your surgery facility was second to none – everyone there was caring, supportive, and attentive to my needs.
