I had initially gone to Dr. Sigalove for Breast Augmentation.  The ENITIRE experience for me was first class.  From the very first appointment until the post-surgery appointment, every point of contact I had with anyone at Cantera Plastic Surgery was extremely pleasant.  Jessica always took the time to look at the schedule and fit me in whenever it worked best for me.  Dr. Sigalove and Lori provided extremely thorough explanations to any questions my husband or I had regarding my surgery.  They took the time to explain all of the options I had and helped me decide which option was best for me based on my goals.  Beyond the high levels of customer service provided, the results of the surgery itself far surpassed my expectations.  My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with Dr. Sigalove's work.
 
Sadly, only 4 weeks later, I had a horrible fall, and developed a hematoma in one of my breasts.  Dr. Sigalove was out of town, and it was after hours.  Unfortunately, I had to be rushed into emergency surgery.  Dr. Daw had to be paged, and was at the hospital immediately.  He took excellent care of me and was very professional.  The next day, Courtney (Dr. Sigalove's Physicians Assistant) took the time out of her day to come and see me at the hospital. Upon Dr. Sigalove's return home, he saw me immediately, and his main concern was my well-being.  He examined me and was very honest and open with me regarding the plan for the upcoming corrective surgery.  Lori was so compassionate and truly concerned about me.  She helped me get through this very difficult time, and I can not thank her enough for that.
 
Once again, Dr. Sigalove did a phenomenal job on my breasts.  I thought they would never look as good as they initially had, and sure enough, he proved me wrong!  Throughout this entire experience, the main concern of every person at Cantera Plastic Surgery was my health.  Dr. Sigalove is truly an extraordinary plastic surgeon.  My husband and I would recommend him to ANYBODY who is interested in any sort of cosmetic surgery.  Thank you to Dr. Sigalove, Dr. Daw, Lori, Courtney, and Jessica for making my experience such a satisfying one!

In January, I turned sixty years old.  I didn’t feel 60, but I felt that I looked 60, so I scheduled an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Sigalove to discuss a facelift.  I approached the possibility eagerly but must admit I was extremely nervous.  Dr. Sigalove was amazing.  He explained in detail exactly what he would do, how he would do it, how long it would take and the expected outcome.  He told me how I would feel following surgery, what kind of swelling or bruising to expect and what my pain level would be.  He actually answered all my questions before I could ask them.  His nurse, Lori, was equally helpful and reassuring.  As scared as I was to have an operation, they made me feel comfortable and confident and I was ready to set the date for surgery.  Post-operative, I was prepared for the tingling, numbness and swelling I experienced because they assured me it was all part of the recovery process.  They made sure I knew that I could contact them at any time with questions or concerns.  The procedure was performed at the Central DuPage Hospital.  I received wonderful care from each person who attended to me.

I could not be happier with the results. Now I look like I feel.  I was most concerned that I would still look like myself, and I do, just fresher without that tired, saggy look.  Most people don’t know I had this procedure and when they see me, they say, “Wow, you look great! What did you do?  Did you just come back from a great vacation?”  I just smile, tickled that people notice how great I look but never suspecting that I actually had a facelift.

I want to thank Dr. Sigalove and his staff for being there for me during my facelift and chin augmentation procedure.  Dr. Sigalove is the best!  He always took the time to answer my questions and concerns.  I never felt rushed by him and I felt like he wanted to be sure I was comfortable.  He was honest with me about my procedure and my recovery.  As he would say, he was "spot on" with me.  I didn't doubt anything he told me.  I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Sigalove.  Even the nurses at the hospital told me Dr. Sigalove was the best and assured me I was in good hands!  They were right. My experience with Dr. Sigalove's office staff was awesome too.  Lori always made me feel at home and I looked forward to seeing her and showing her my progress through the weeks of recovery.  Before my procedure too, she was there to answer my questions and "hold my hand" when I felt anxious.  In the short time I have known her, she has felt like a friend.  The whole office staff was so friendly and kind and caring.  They make me feel so welcome and relaxed.  If I ever decide to do more "work", I'll be headed straight to Dr. Sigalove.  I feel so lucky to have found him.

It has been a little over 3 months now since my breast augmentation with Dr. Sigalove, and I have to say how thrilled I am with the results.  After 3 pregnancies and breastfeeding all 3 babies, I was unhappy with the loss of volume and the shape of my breasts.  Because the right choice of surgeon was very important to me, I did a lot of research, and met with 2 other surgeons before visiting with Dr. Sigalove. 

I immediately felt welcome and comfortable in his office.  Everyone there was very friendly, professional and caring.  Jessica at the front desk is wonderful, and she made sure I was never kept waiting.  Dr. Sigalove and Lori spent a lot of time with me, explaining my options, making recommendations, answering my questions, and educating me about the procedure.  I just knew I was making the right decision.  My surgery and recovery went perfectly, and because of the time spent with me, I felt I knew exactly what to expect along the way. 

At 3 months out, I am so pleased with the size and shape of my breasts.  Dr. Sigalove did an excellent job giving me what I requested…which was more volume and a fuller look, while still looking very natural.  I am so happy that I finally made the decision to do this for myself, and I would completely recommend Dr. Sigalove and his staff to anyone who is looking for a plastic surgeon!

Testimonial for Laser Treatment

I started noticing a constant redness in my cheeks about 12 years ago and my doctor told me I had Rosacea, a skin condition with unknown origin and also incurable. Great... he said it's possible to manage it and gave me a topical gel, which frankly did nothing. I accepted my newly diagnosed, permanent condition for years to follow. Then I spotted ads for "laser treatment of Rosacea." Soon, my own dermatologist started promoting his new laser Rosacea treatments which removed the redness. I was very excited that there was now a treatment that actually made a difference. His treatments were $150 per session and they said I should see results in 1-2 treatments. After 2 treatments (which were not even done by the doctor, but by an assistant who was training another assistant on me!) I assumed I was a tough case or something and told them I saw zero difference in my face. They just looked at me like I was a bit unreasonable and insisted something like, "We just blasted your face with 850 mega zillion pulsations of the blah blabadi blah laser!" as if I should conclude, "Well, okay then, now that you mention it, I guess I should be perfectly content with having absolutely no results for $300... because after all, it was a very, very fine effort on everyone’s part...pardon me for expecting anything."

Like an idiot, I went back 2 more times hoping that the results would gradually accumulate and I would see a difference eventually. The only difference I saw was a total of $600 gone from my wallet…which frankly made my face even more red…

I pondered the experience and concluded that this dermatology practice might be inexperienced and their laser might not be state of the art. I saw another ad which spelled out Rosacea Laser Treatment and had some remarkable before and after pictures for another dermatologist. Her service was $300 per session and I assumed that now I had discovered a quality laser expert and explained carefully to her that I had been to 4 sessions at another dermatologist who charged half what she was charging and gotten nowhere. I asked how many sessions she would guess it would take for me and she guessed 1-2. She actually did the sessions herself, giving me high hopes for an actual result. It made no difference whatsoever in my face—and I went there twice. Another $600 later, I was convinced laser treatment was a scam now. I thought, “They just blindfold you with these goggles, somebody snaps a rubber band on your cheek and they bill you for it and then look at you like you’re stupid when you say it didn’t work.”

Lori Anderson suggested that I go to Dr. Sigalove. Being his patient coordinator, she told me she literally saw him get great results—sometimes in just one laser session. I trusted Lori and made the appointment. Dr. Sigalove looked me over, discussed a strategy with the laser consultant, who was also in the room, chose a specific laser and a specific setting to fit my condition and went to work on my cheeks. I left there not seeing any difference for 2 days. I was right about to give up when over the next two weeks, my cheeks lost more and more redness until all of it was gone. I was stunned. I didn’t even need a second session!

I have to assume that the expertise to know which laser to choose, what setting to choose and the skill to use it by Dr. Sigalove made all the difference. In my other two experiences, each practice had only one laser to treat all patient types, they consulted with no one, sat me down, switched on the laser and 10 minutes later handed me a bill. Dr. Sigalove has access to seven lasers, a consultant in the room to discuss the patient’s specific condition prior to treatment and a high level of competence with the laser that could only come from the steady hands of a plastic surgeon. What more can I say? There was no comparison to the other two experiences. My face shows no signs of Rosacea now—and has stayed this way for several months now and counting!

It has been six months since I had my tummy tuck, and I just wanted to tell you how wonderful this whole experience has been for me. After having 3 children and losing all my baby weight, I was left with a healthy, thin body and a sagging stomach that just would not go away no matter how many sit-ups I did. March 12, 2008 is a date I will never forget. This is the day that Dr. Sigalove performed my breast reduction surgery and I became a new person. I had suffered from constant neck and upper back pain for several years before seeing Dr. Sigalove about this problem. I can even go braless if the style demands it; something I could have never done before my surgery. I used to have to wear a bra to bed before the surgery as it was more comfortable. I decided to have the surgery after having two children because of the fact that I was very small breasted and they were uneven. I was a full A cup on one side with a B cup on the other.

I am incredibly satisfied with my breasts and my decision to choose Dr. Sigalove. I am now a 34C. My incisions were submammary and are much smaller than I expected. I was relieved that they are not noticeable at all. While my breasts sat high at first, they have since dropped and feel like a natural part of "me." What I most wanted was for others to notice that I looked great, not that I had breast implants--and with Dr. Sigalove I achieved that. I greatly appreciate his honesty, integrity, and skill. I believe a mistake that women often make is assuming that the results of breast augmentation will be the same in all circumstances. I think choice of plastic surgeon is crucial. Different plastic surgeons will produce different results. If you are not particular enough when you choose your plastic surgeon, if you go for the lowest price rather than the highest quality, or do not do enough research about your options, then you set yourself up for disappointment. Also, it is necessary to ask questions and be completely honest about your desires and expectations. I want to let everyone know how incredibly happy I am with the results of my breast implant surgery.

It has been 8 weeks since my abdominoplasty operation, and I feel great physically and mentally. I had the operation because I had lost 50 pounds and my stomach looked terrible. I was so nervous to have the operation, but Dr. Sigalove and his staff couldn’t have been more professional.

They explained everything I would go through before, during and after my operation. After my operation, I was sent home with a pain pump that was attached to my stomach area. While at home, I never took one pain pill orally. The pain pump worked for 4 days.

Dr. Sigalove did a beautiful job. He really takes pride in his work. I love the way I feel in my clothes. It is so much fun to go shopping now and be able to buy anything.

I wanted to let you know how happy I am with the results of my breast augmentation surgery! As you know, I had previously consulted a female plastic surgeon regarding this surgery; she spent roughly ten minutes with me and when I left I knew very little about the procedure or what to expect. I was apprehensive about meeting with you, since I tend to hesitate in asking a lot of questions. During our consultation you immediately put me at ease, and went over the procedure very thoroughly. Not only did you explain the procedure itself, but our discussion of what size implant to use showed you were much attuned to my personal vision of what the end result should look like. My journey began years before meeting Dr. Sigalove.  I had 4 big babies by C section.  I also had a big 75 pound weight loss.  Although I did get to my ideal weight I was still left with saggy skin on my abdomen and my breasts were very saggy with little to no breast tissue.  My abdominal muscles were badly damaged and made my belly bulge.  I would never wear a bikini and felt very conscious in the way I looked in different clothing.  I felt I worked so hard through diet and exercise but no amount of sit ups or chest presses could get rid of the rippled skin and the many stretch marks I had.

My procedures and recovery went far better than even I anticipated. My abdomen is completely flat and most of my stretch marks are gone. My breasts are perky and firm.  I really feel like a totally different person. I’m still getting used to my new body and I feel so good about myself. I wore a bikini for the first time in over 20 years. All of my clothes fit so much better and even my husband feels it took at least 15 years off of me.
